God's Directions in Time of Desperation
"So he did what the Lord had told him..." ~ 1 Kings 17:5 Sometimes it's that simple. And sometimes it's that hard. To do what the LORD calls us to do. Love God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength. Sounds easy. But to really be that devoted to God is the work of a lifetime. Love your neighbor as yourself. So simple. But we sometimes hardly even know how to love ourselves. This past Sunday Pastor Ruth kicked off 2022 with some great words from 1 Kings 17. She reminded us of three powerful lessons: First, commit yourself completely to God. Obedience in following God is not always fun or easy. Second, fear not! God knows our needs and will provide. Third, ask for help. You do not have to go it alone. We are the body of Christ!
