Pastor Rob Byker has a lifelong passion for sharing the love and hope of Jesus Christ. His calling to ministry began at a young age while watching his father plant a church in San Antonio, Texas, where he witnessed firsthand the transforming power of God’s love.
Rob began his pastoral ministry in 1998 at Second Christian Reformed Church in Michigan. He later served for 21 years at Rehoboth Christian Reformed Church in New Mexico, where he developed a deep appreciation for Christian community, compassion and loving one another as Christ has loved us.
During his years at Rehoboth, Rob and his family experienced the love and support of their church community through his first wife Lisa’s six-year battle with brain cancer. After her passing, God brought Rob and longtime family friend Kendis together. Having also lost her first husband to a brain tumor, Kendis shared a similar journey of loss and faith. They married in 2022 and have built a loving blended family together.
After moving to Colorado, Rob served individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities while continuing to preach in local churches. Today, he is grateful to serve as Senior Pastor of Connections Church, helping others connect with God, grow in faith and reflect Christ’s love in the world.
