Live the Mission This Summer
Vacation Bible School and Mission Trip
This summer, we have two meaningful opportunities to live out our mission together as a church family: to belong, connect with God, grow in faith and reflect His love. Join us for Summer Vacation Bible School at Connections Church, June 9 and 11, 5:00–8:30 pm, and our Mission Trip to the Jicarilla Apache Nation in Dulce, NM, July 26–29. Whether you are new or have been part of our church for years, there is a place for you.
Belong
VBS creates a warm and welcoming space where children and volunteers are known, valued and supported. Volunteers will find encouragement and a team that helps everyone feel at home. On the mission trip, belonging grows through building respectful relationships with the Apache Nation community and our partners at Jicarilla Reformed Church.
Connect
Both opportunities help us connect more deeply with God and with one another. VBS includes worship, Bible teaching, crafts and activities that help children encounter Jesus in meaningful ways. On the mission trip, shared worship, reflection and time with the community deepen our faith and remind us we are part of something greater.
Grow
Growth happens as we serve together. VBS allows volunteers to invest in children through teaching, creativity and leadership. The mission trip provides opportunities to grow in cultural understanding, humility and discipleship through hands-on ministry and shared experiences.
Reflect
Our faith is meant to move outward. VBS teaches children to reflect God’s love through simple acts of kindness and local outreach. The mission trip extends that same heart into meaningful service, supporting real needs while honoring local leadership and culture.
How Can You Help?
- Serve at VBS as a crew leader, craft or sports assistant, help with media or photography, serve snacks or be a prayer partner. No prior experience is required, just a willing heart.
- Invite your friends and neighbors’ children to attend the VBS nights. Share this Link
- Join the mission trip team by helping with preparation ahead of time or serving on-site in Dulce. Training and cultural orientation are provided.
- Support these ministries through prayer and by helping spread the word.
