Discovering Membership at Connections Church
Are you interested in becoming a member of our church?
Join our two-part Discovering Membership Class to learn more about our church community to see if this is where you belong — “to connect with God, grow in faith following Jesus and reflect God’s love in the world through His Spirit”.
Membership is NOT swearing an allegiance to a pastor or a building. It is a chance to learn more about yourself and your journey with Jesus. Being a member is publicly committing to supporting the body of Christ, His Church, through your faith, time, treasures, and talents.
Class One on January 19: Our Story and Beliefs
In this session, you’ll learn about the rich history, mission, and core beliefs of Connections and our denomination. Discover how we seek to live out our faith and make a difference in the world through our reformed beliefs.
Class Two on January 26: Your Faith Journey
This session focuses on you. We will answer any questions you may have. We will also ask you to briefly share your faith story (no preparation required) in a welcoming and supportive environment and learn how your spiritual journey connects with the life and mission of our church.
Pastor John Gorter and Elder Kelly Tien will lead the 2 sessions.
Next Steps:
Those who attend both classes and are interested in pursuing membership will then schedule a time to publicly become a member in one of our upcoming church services.
