New Sermon Series: The G.O.A.T.

Jesus wasn’t just a great teacher, activist or even miracle worker.  Jesus said that he is God.  And since billions have believed, and staked their lives on that claim, it might be something worth consideration.

Join us Easter Sunday when we kick off this series and look at the audacious claim that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life!

Palm Sunday Service, April 14th @ 9:30 am

You may know that the bible has four accounts of Jesus’ life: the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.  Did you know that a third of those Gospels are devoted to the last week of his life?  We call it “Holy Week,” the week between Palm Sunday, when Jesus enters Jerusalem, and Easter Sunday, his resurrection.  We invite you to continue the journey to the cross with us on Good Friday and to celebrate the resurrection Easter morning.

Good Friday Service, April 19th @ 7 pm

Good Friday is the Friday before Easter.  It is the day that the church remembers the betrayal, beating, trial, crucifixion, death and burial of Jesus.
Why is this “good” and why do we worship in this day? It is good because Jesus’ death is the atoning sacrifice for our sin, and because it sets the stage for Easter Sunday and his resurrection.  This is a somber service like nothing else in the church all year long.  Every other service is a celebration of the resurrection.  But Good Friday is a witness to the death.

Devotional for Lent, March 6th to April 21st

Journey to the Cross moves us closer to the heart of Easter through forty days of Bible readings, prayers of confession and thanksgiving, and daily devotional readings. This devotional takes a deeper look into six central themes: repentance, humility, suffering, lament, sacrifice, and death. Journey to the Cross moves beyond “doing penance” and helps us focus on Christ’s sacrifice for us—the real meaning of Easter and the reason we celebrate. Copies are available at the welcome desk.
