
Task Force 2023
The Board of Trustees and Employed/Ordained Ministers of Connections Church seek willing volunteers to join in a “Task Force” to research the long term financial viability of Connections Church (CC).
Purpose: To research the long term financial options for Connections Church.
Goal: Present to the Board of Trustees long term financial recommendation(s).
Process:
– Create a team willing to participate
– Elect a Head of Task Force
– Report to the board monthly on progress
– Assemble a presentation for the board and congregation with recommendation(s)
Time Frame: Present to the Board no later than October 01, 2023.
Context: CC is debt free. The budget obligations, as approved by the members of CC, are not being met through monthly tithes. CC has short and medium term facility costs that will drain the capital reserves.
The task force will research the fair market value of CC’s real estate property. The facility building, “as is” and reconstructed, and the unimproved land to the north of the building. It will evaluate potential sale of any and all properties, long term leasing options or other financial opportunities it may consider.
The task force will give monthly updates to the Board of Trustees and Ordained Ministers and present its final recommendations on or before October 01, 2023.
There will be a meeting of interested parties in early July.
