This week we are looking into one of the most fundamental human conditions, and problems- shame. Would you say that shame has been an issue for you or anyone you know? What is the difference between guilt and shame? What is your shame "trigger"?
The creation story describes the first couple as being "without shame." Is paradise and perfection truly a life and existence without shame?
Read John 8:1-11. Have you ever had a shame exposed? Would you be willing to share that experience? Have you ever willingly confessed a shame to another person? Would you like to confess to another person or group?
Read Romans 10:11. "As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.” How does faith and forgiveness in Christ free us from shame?
