Connections Church is all about connecting people to their calling in Christ.
We focus on cultivating our most vital relationships:
Connecting with God, with people and with the world.

Connecting with God, with people and with the world.
Worship is the natural expression of our connection to God that comes out in song, in prayer, in the arts, in teaching, in being together as a church. But that is only the beginning, for we want all of our life to express our connection to God by worshiping each day, every way, in all we do and say, through a commitment to personal Bible study and prayer.
We seek genuine relationship in home gatherings called “Connection Groups” and various other Groups that meet at the church to care, share, support and love each other. We also want to foster community connections through ministries like our on-campus Community Garden and hosting various church events and community activities.
The Bible teaches us to think not first of ourselves, but of others and their needs. We call it the “I’m Third Principle” – God first, others second, I’m third. To reinforce this principle we provide a variety of opportunities to get involved in team service, in the church and as the church in the community, through our Serve Teams and our multiple Outreach programs.
How do we connect with our calling? Or how do we know when we’ve connected with our calling? While the bible doesn’t provide a “one size fits all” path of discovery and fulfillment, it does show us many spiritual disciples that benefit all people. The following are five practices that we know will help you connect with your calling. We call them “Signs of Belonging” because each one points us toward Jesus. Each one reflects bible teaching about discipleship. Each one is a spiritual discipline, and a mindset, that can transform your life and faith, and at the same time make an impact in our world.
The signs are bringer, member, server, giver and pastor…
We don’t want people just coming to worship, or even just inviting others to worship. We pray that like the disciples you will actually bring people to worship to meet Jesus!
John 1:42 “And he brought them to Jesus.”
Getting involved in one of our Groups is a great way to really get connected. We’ll know your name. You’ll learn some new names. And most of all, we know you’ll grow. Your faith will grow when consistently and intentionally engaged with others in the body of Christ.
Hebrews 10:24-25 “And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another-and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”
Every Christian is given gifts to share with the church and in service to the world. We have some serving teams that help us do what we do here at Connections. And we have some serving teams that help us go out and love our community. Our serving teams are quite varied and unique- just like the people who are a part of the church!
1 Peter 4:10 “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”
When you give you worship God and you get invested in Connections. It’s actually a predictable pattern- when you give, you care. When you care, you pray. When you pray, you get even more involved. It’s like giving triggers the whole series of events!
Matthew 6:21 “For where your treasure is there your heart will be also.”
God has you where you are for a reason. Disciples know that God has put them where they need to be, surrounded by the people then need to serve. We hope you’ll come to see yourself as a pastor of your family, friends, neighbors and coworkers.
Acts 20:28 “Be shepherds of the church of God, which He bought with His own blood.”
