"Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord;
let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation.
Let us come before him with thanksgiving
and extol him with music and song."
~ Psalm 95:1-2
This Sunday we'll wrap up our Mental Health month with part three of the holy trinity-
First, your daily devotions, or "office," with God.
Second, your Group of fellow disciples.
Third, Sabbath and Awe!
Recent research highlights the essential experience of awe for humans.
We crave awe, wonder, transcendence,
a deeper connection to God and the world around us.
When it's missing boredom and isolation can set it.
But when we have it, we flourish.
I hope you'll join us this Sunday.
Because God deserves our worship.
And because, according to the science,
you were made for this!
"Cast all your anxiety on Him
because He cares for you."
~ 1 Peter 1:7
We've all said it...
"I'm Fine."
Actually, I'm not.
You're not.
No one is "just fine."
We all have anxieties, struggles, temptations and more.
If you think you're alone, you're not.
If you believe asking for help is weakness, it's not.
If you've been told that Christians don't need counseling,
that you just need to pray about it more,
that it's unfaithful to take medication...
That's wrong.
Throughout May we will be talking about the intersection of faith and mental health. The bible has much to say about the mental health and wellness.
