The crowds that went ahead of him
and those that followed shouted,
“Hosanna to the Son of David!”
“Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!”
“Hosanna in the highest heaven!”

It's kind of funny-
After the crowd shouts these praises to Jesus,
we read that they asked a question,
"Who is this man?" (Matthew 21:10)
It seems they were swept up in the moment,
but didn't really know who he was, or what was happening.
But we do.
Simply put, Jesus is the one we've been waiting for-
Prophet.
Priest.
King.
Christ!
This weekend we celebrate Palm Sunday
and the beginning of Passion Week-
The week that leads us through Good Friday
and on to Easter Sunday!
Lent.
A season to repent, fast and serve.
It's not for everyone.
But it should be.
We can all benefit from a season of self-examination, self-sacrifice and selflessly serving others.
