"For God so loved the world
that he gave his one and only Son,
that whoever believes in him shall not perish
but have eternal life."
~ John 3:16
It might be the most famous,
most beloved,
most shared Bible verse in the world.
For good reason.
It is simple enough to share with a child.
Yet deep enough to discuss for a lifetime.
This Sunday,
our second Sunday of Lent,
we'll look at a nighttime exchange between Jesus and Nicodemus,
and the declaration that changed the world.
Lent.
A season to repent, fast and serve.
It's not for everyone.
But it should be.
We can all benefit from a season of self-examination, self-sacrifice and selflessly serving others.
If you are willing join us this Lenten season.
Pick up your cross.
Follow Jesus.
And experience the rescue we all require.
