"(They) were both naked,
and they felt no shame."
~ Genesis 2:25
You may recall the television show,
"How To Look Good Naked."
It was (obvious) a very titillating title meant to catch our attention.
In reality the show was about helping women and men with body images issues learn to accept, respect and even love their bodies.
With a mix of therapy, fashion and encouragement people were able to shed their guilt and shame.
There was a time when we image-bearers of God were completely "uncluttered" by guilt, shame and sin.
We were naked and unashamed.
We were naked and didn't even know it!
It was the "uncluttered" life we were created to live.
This Sunday we are going to take a look in the mirror of the bible to reveal what it says about us-
How we are created.
Why we are created.
What difference our creation makes.
We are going to get uncluttered
before our Creator!
Given time, we all collect clutter-
Cluttered homes. Cluttered schedules. Cluttered lives.
But it does’t have to stay that way. With some thought, work and discipline we can clear out the clutter and made room for matters. God. Relationships. And spiritual habits that bring blessing. Join us this winter as we take out the old and bring in the new!
