"Well done, good and faithful servant!"
~ Matthew 25:
We had an amazing week at the
Jicarilla Reformed Church in Dulce New Mexico.
Our team lead VBS for nearly 30 kids,
we did some manual labor around the property,
learned some of the history of the Jicarilla people,
and so much more.
One of the lessons we taught in our "One the Case" curriculum
was on the Parable of the Talents
(or Bags of Gold).
In that story we hear the master say to two of his servants,
"Well done, good and faithful servant!"
These are the words we all long to hear from Jesus.
We were made to do good works in the name of Christ (Eph. 2:20)
We were made to be good stewards of God's treasures.
This Sunday we'll find out how we might live so that we too will hear those wonderful words of Jesus...
"Well done!"
This June we will look at four of Jesus' most famous parables. They've been used, abused, misunderstood and misrepresented far too often. Let's unpack the real meaning and application of these classics!
June 4- The Four Soils
June 11- The Bags of Gold
June 18- The Good Samaritan
June 25- The Lost Son
