DESCRIPTION:This camp is for kids 4-13 years old. Each day  at camp will represent a theme for the child in their connection with their world\, first with an art project and then with a Bible study activity. \nJune 17-21\, 2024\n9:00 am to 12:00 pm\nCost: $45/child\nSnacks will be provided \nLimited Spots Available\, Register Today!\nDay to Day Schedule:\n \nDay 1 – Connecting with Yourself \nCampers will choose a cover design from designer paper and a matching ribbon\, fold their own pages\, and assemble it into an accordion book. \nOlder artists will then fill their pages with thoughts on their personal strengths and what they are grateful for in their life while younger artists can draw pictures. \nDay 2 – Connecting with God \nCampers will get to hydro-dip paint their own frame and apply the vinyl lettering\, “I Am a Child of God”\, for a photo of themselves. It will be a life long reminder of their place in God’s family. \nDay 3 – Connecting with Family \nCampers will create a family tree! Younger artists use paint and handprint and older artists create a tree out of wire and Shrinky Dinks. \nDay 4 – Connecting with Community \nCampers will paint their own flowerpot using acrylic paint\, pencil erasers\, and cotton swabs to create dot designs. \nThen\, if it is a nice sunny Colorado day\, they will have the option of planting a seed or flower inside. \n  \nLimited Spots Available\, Register Today!

DESCRIPTION:Join Connection Church in welcoming the Drama Ministries Ensemble from Northwestern College for their spring break tour.  We are honored to have them with us March 4th at 7:00pm to perform this year’s Stories of Faith drama “Heroes of Faith”.  \nQuestions and Answers: \nWho is DME? What do we do?\nDrama Ministries Ensemble\, DME\, is a “performance group emphasizing preparation of scripts for presentation in worship services and worship-related settings.” We are an ensemble of actors who seek to bring glory to God by sharing Scripture with others in the form of storytelling theatre. We meet three times per week to read devotionals and pray\, rehearse our scenes\, and prepare for our upcoming performances. We tell the stories of Noah\, Abraham\, Moses\, and Rahab\, with the words of Hebrews 11 connecting the stories. \nWhat is DME tour?\nEvery year during spring break DME goes on tour\, performing all over the U.S. and internationally. When we tour\, we hope to serve churches and other organizations by performing the material that we have prepared\, and share with them the passion for storytelling that God has given each of us. We then ask churches to provide a meal and homes for us to stay the night in. This year DME is travelling through Nebraska to Denver and Colorado Springs\, then coming back through Kansas\, and we are looking for churches who would like to host us for a performance in those areas\, as well as on our way to and from Colorado. Our group this year consists of 6 students and the director. \nWhat can Connection Church do to help?\nConnections Church will need to provide dinner served at church at 5:30 on Monday\, March 4th. We also need to find overnight hosts for 9 people (at least two per home) for Monday night. The overnight host just needs to provide them a place to sleep\, breakfast in the morning and get them back to church by 9:00am on Tuesday.  Please talk to Kim Crane if you are able to help.
