Sunday Worship Service
Join us this Sunday as Pastor Rob Byker begins a new series, What We’re Here For, rooted in the mission statement of Connections Church. This week, we focus on “Belong” through John 10:11–16 and John 17:20–23.
If you have Jesus as your Shepherd, then you also have His Church as your flock. Jesus intends to gather a people for Himself from every place, tribe and nation, with the vision that there would be “one flock and one shepherd.” He calls us to belong to one another. Just as sheep are made to flock together, Christians are made to do so as well.
A Christian without a church concerns Jesus in the same way a sheep without a flock concerns a shepherd. Such a person is vulnerable to spiritual dangers and misses out on the joys of fellowship that require community.
Jesus calls us to belong to one another and to seek harmony in community. He prayed that we would express this kind of unity. Our life together is a key way the world comes to know the beauty of Jesus and His good news. That’s what we are here for!
For the Kids
This week in Children’s Church (preschool – elementary), the children will enjoy a Bible lesson and a fun craft that helps them connect what they’ve learned in a hands-on way. Take a moment to ask your child what they discovered and created, it’s a great way to hear about their time and keep the conversation going at home.
Nursery care for babies and toddlers is available as well. You can check in at the front lobby before the service.
