This Week
This Sunday, March 29, we observe Passion Sunday and continue our series Encountering the Cross with a message from Luke 22:54–62 titled “Peter Encounters Jesus’ Knowing Eye.”
Peter is confident in his loyalty, insisting that even if others fall away, he will remain faithful. Yet Jesus knows Peter’s heart more clearly than Peter knows himself. In this passage, Peter denies Jesus three times in the courtyard. Upon the third denial a rooster crows and Jesus turns to look at him. He fixes his all knowing eye on Peter.
Like Peter, we often overestimate our faithfulness. Join us as we reflect on our own hearts and encounter the grace of Christ, who sees us fully.
For the Kids
This week in Children’s Church (preschool – elementary), the children will enjoy a Bible lesson and a fun craft that helps them connect what they’ve learned in a hands-on way. Take a moment to ask your child what they discovered and created, it’s a great way to hear about their time and keep the conversation going at home.
